Breakaway State started on the premise of returning to the original roots of punk music, stripping away all unnecessary clutter and ego-driven nonsense. The result of this, is an aggressive, driving, rhythmic, hook-laden sound. Influences include early U.K. and American punk, yet this band has a very original and fresh sound.

Members have performed with the likes of Sado-Nation, Ruthensmear (Pat Smear), Wipers, Therapy, MurderCycle...
